Mexico City is home to several top-of-the-line luxury hotels, and the St. Regis Mexico City hotel is one of the absolute best, favored by celebrities, politicians and other big-name travelers, thanks to its elegant style, extensive amenities and superior service (Daniel Craig stayed here when he played James Bond in the movie Spectre). In my latest travel video, I take you on one of my unfiltered tours of one of the most legendary luxury hotels in Mexico City.
The St. Regis Mexico City is one of the first choices for celebrities and other big names who visit Mexico’s capital, and with good reason. The soaring property, located on the grand Paseo de la Reforma boulevard, is known for its elegant style and attentive service. If you’re looking to indulge while on a Mexico vacation or a business trip, this hotel should be high on your wish list.

Here are 5 things to love about the St. Regis Mexico City:
- Amazing views: The 31-story St. Regis Mexico City offers amazing views of the city, including an iconic traffic circle on the Paseo de la Reforma that’s graced with a statue of Diana the Hunter as a centerpiece. Since the hotel soars so high and is rounded, nearly every corner of the property offers some sort of inspiring view — so have your cellphone camera ready.
2. Unique experiences: The St. Regis hotel brand is known for the array of unique experiences it offers for guests. The Mexico City hotel’s attractive main lobby, for example, can serve as a setting for a champagne sabering ritual, a signature way of welcoming guests to the property. The hotel’s dedicated concierge team can also curate personalized experiences to fit your interests, whether it’s a historic Mexico City tour, a shopping excursion or guided children’s activities.

3. Delectable cuisine: Sophisticated cuisine is a big selling point at the St. Regis, and the Mexico City property has multiple dining venues. The newest is Bloom, which is set on a rooftop garden and offers a diverse menu and lovely views. Diana offers an extensive menu and has both indoor and terrace dining (and you shouldn’t miss the delicious avocado pizza).
For a truly special dining experience, you can opt for La Table Krug, a restaurant that serves French cuisine paired with Krug champagne.
Creative mixology is another draw at the St. Regis, and there are multiple bars where you can sample the masterpieces created by the skilled bartenders.
4. Sheer indulgence: You can pamper yourself with a treatment at the Remede Spa, or perhaps just a relaxing soak in the indoor swimming pool, which offers memorable city views (nearly every part of this hotel offers memorable views, as a matter of fact — even the well-equipped fitness center offers amazing views). One of the spas newest touch-free treatments is gong therapy, which is a decidedly different kind of meditation.

5. Beautiful guest rooms: The handsome design of the hotel’s guest rooms manages to blend style and comfort with impeccable results. Room options range from the 538-square-foot Deluxe rooms to the 1,647-square-foot Astor Vice Presidential Suite and the two-bedroom, 3,089-square-foot Presidential Suite. Simply put, there is no small room at the St. Regis Mexico City, nor is there a room with a bad view.
This was just a brief summary of some of the reasons why upscale travelers love the St. Regis Mexico City. There is much more to explore, of course.
