That’s not the only celebrity connection this Caribbean hotspot is currently enjoying. The Samaná Peninsula and Las Terrenas are currently being featured on NBC’s series “Love in the Wild.” Hosted by model and author Jenny McCarthy, the series challenges romantic relationships with exhilarating quests on the Northeast Coast of Dominican Republic. The show airs every Tuesday at 10 EST until July 24.

Dominican Republic Events
If you don’t win the Kardashian-style getaway, you still might want to consider heading to “Quisqueya la bella” for some upcoming events, including:

• The fourth annual annual Kiteboarding for Kids event, which takes place at Laurel Eastman Kiteboarding in Cabarete Aug. 16 – 18 to benefit Dominican children in need. Kiteboarders of all levels are urged to compete and set up a personalized profile page to track donations and personal fundraising goals. Those not competing are encouraged to participate in day-of events and games, and to join the after party sponsored by local establishments.

• The fifth annual Taste Santo Domingo, which takes place October 18-20 at the Renaissance Jaragua Hotel and Melia Santo Domingo, both in the capital city. The gastronomic event features wines from all over the world as well as traditional Dominican cuisine. Each night brings culinary shows and events dedicated to epicureans, including trade shows, a grand tasting and culinary demonstrations from renowned chefs.
