Valentine’s Day Dinner in San Miguel de Allende
Hotel Matilda: This stylish small hotel in San Miguel de Allende, a member of Design Hotels, is setting the table for a “Supper Club” that will showcase the culinary creativity of three of Mexico’s top chefs. Held over Valentine’s Day Weekend, on Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, the first Supper Club of 2013 will be a multi-course feast and wine pairing in Hotel Matilda’s Moxi Restaurant.

The three chefs collaborating on the menu include Enrique Olvera, the operator of Moxi Restaurant and owner of the much-praised Mexico City restaurant, Pujol, which is #36 on the San Pellegrino list of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants. Also working in the kitchen is Guillermo González Beristáin, who opened the Monterrey restaurant Pangea after time spent at Michelin-starred restaurants in France and Spain, and Diego Hernández Velasco Baquedano, who was named one of the most promising chefs of 2011 by Travel + Leisure, and who operates Corazon de Tierra (Heart of the Earth), a restaurant in Baja’s Guadalupe Valley.

The three culinary masters are developing a surprise menu for the evening. The dinner will start at 7:00 pm and the cost per person is 1,800 pesos, or about $142.
