Friendly Apartments: An Excellent Rental Option in Buenos Aires

WRITTEN BY Mark Chesnut

It’s not news that renting an apartment is an excellent short-term option to staying at a hotel in Buenos Aires. During my most recent visit, I enjoyed an apartment rental from a company I hadn’t used before: Friendly Apartments.
The advantages of a Buenos Aires apartment rental versus a hotel stay are many, including:
• Greater degree of privacy
• More space
• A full kitchen where you can cook and store food
• Lower prices than many hotels
In addition, with Friendly Apartments, you get a dedicated staff on-site at the Concord Callao, so when you need to speak with a human, you know where to go (in the past, I rented an apartment from a Website that was basically an individual sitting in her apartment somewhere else in the city, so there wasn’t exactly on-site help when I needed it).
Friendly Apartments operates dozens of units in several buildings; my studio-size apartment at the Concord Callao was well located in the Recoleta district, décor is contemporary and comfortable, and Internet access is via cable and (a big selling point for me) complimentary for guests. The building has an outdoor swimming pool, sauna, Jacuzzi and parking space (for an additional fee).
BEST FOR: Travelers seeking more privacy and looking for more of an authentic living experience in Buenos Aires.
$75 and up, including continental breakfast.
