In Mexico City, Personal Shoppers Keep Visitors Looking Good

Style center: Antara Fashion Hall is one of several places in Mexico City with personal shopping services.

Who’ll be there to help when you’ve ruined your best suit (or trendiest T-shirt), but you don’t have time to find something new? In Mexico City, there’s no need to worry; personal shoppers are more than able to get your wardrobe back in order.

I already had researched VIP shopping services at hotels in the United States and London for my business travel blog on Orbitz (see Hotel VIP Shopping Services Can Save the Day).

So now I’ve turned my attention south of the border, to Mexico’s capital. Here are a few top choices:

Saks Fifth Avenue Mexico City: Personal shoppers are available at two locations — the Centro Comercial Santa Fe and Plaza Carso, in the chic Polanco district. https://www.saksincorporated.com/storelocator/searchresults.asp?divcode=sak&type=int

• Antara Fashion Hall: This upscale open-air shopping mall in Polanco has personal shopping services that include help from image consultants and fashion stylists. (And you can find some of their personal shopper’s own fashion tips, in Spanish, on Antara’s Youtube channel.)

• Palacio de Hierro: The free personal shopper service at this department store, which has branches in Santa Fe, Polanco, Coyoacán and Perisur, can handle everything from clothes to gifts and hairstyle tips. Personal shopper tips also appear in Spanish on Palacio de Hierro’s Youtube channel.
